Is Divined free?
Yes — Divined is free to start, with no subscription. New seekers receive credits to begin, and each reading uses one credit. If you run out and want to keep going, you can buy more credits whenever you like, but nothing is recurring and you're never charged automatically. You can also earn free credits through the daily streak reward.
Do I need to know how to read tarot?
Not at all. You don't need to memorize a single card, rune, or hexagram. You draw, cast, or toss, and Divined writes the interpretation for you in plain, grounded language. If you do know the traditions, you'll find Divined reads each card by the role it holds in your spread — but newcomers are just as at home.
What is a Reflection?
A Reflection is a reading of your readings. About once a month, Divined draws together the threads that have run through your recent practice — the questions you keep returning to and the symbols that keep surfacing — into a single considered piece. It's a way to step back and see the shape of where you've been, rather than viewing each reading in isolation.
Are my readings private?
Yes. Your readings, journal entries, and Reflections are encrypted at rest, and the encryption key stays on our server — it's never exposed to the browser or to anyone querying the database. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it beyond what's needed to run the app. You can delete any reading, or your entire account, at any time.
Which divination traditions does Divined support?
Divined offers four ways to ask: tarot (draw and arrange the cards), runes (cast the Elder Futhark), I Ching (toss the coins and build a hexagram), and photo readings (photograph a spread you've laid by hand — tarot, runes, oracle decks, tea leaves, and more — for a reading on what's in the frame).
How does Divined remember my readings?
Every reading is saved automatically to your private journal — the question, what you drew, and the interpretation. As your practice grows, Divined notices the patterns that recur across your readings over time and lets that context inform future readings, culminating in your monthly Reflection. It's the difference between a one-off answer and a practice that knows where you've been.
Does Divined work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Divined runs in any modern web browser and is also available as an app for iOS and Android. Your readings, journal, and credits stay in sync across every device you sign in on, so you can begin a practice on your phone and pick it up on the web.
